A workout log is simply a place to keep track of your daily workout sessions and daily progress. The information I record on each of my workout logs would include:

  • Today's date
  • The workout planned is it a lower body, upper body or cardio workout?
  • Start time
  • End time
  • Total time it took to complete the entire workout
  • What exercises I performed
  • Muscle targeted during that exercise
  • What weight I used for each set of the exercise
  • How many sets I completed
  • How many reps I planned to complete
  • How many reps I actually performed
