Fitness
There are lots of great ways to get out there and get active. A fitness program doesn’t necessarily mean locking yourself up in the gym for hours on end, and committing to one doesn’t have to feel like a huge life change.
Working fitness into your daily life is easy and you’ve probably heard many of the same tips time and again. Park further from your destination, to make yourself walk more. Take the stairs. Make it a habit to get up out of your chair a few times a day.
The key is to find an activity you enjoy so that you’ll stick with it. You might find that rowing is your thing, or maybe it’s running, swimming or even walking.
No matter what you choose to do to get active, keep personal safety in mind. Don’t forget your stretches and never put yourself in a situation where you’re unsafe – you really don’t have to go running down that dark path through the park for your evening exercise!
Having trouble getting motivated? Do something with a friend! Looking for a way to combine relaxation with fitness? Give yoga a try. Bored? Do something different throughout the week. It’s totally up to you – and your body will thank you for it.
