Tone Upper Body

As a woman I never thought too much about arms until I saw Linda Hamilton yielding a semi-automatic weapon in Terminator 2. Never had a female filled out a tank top quite that good until those sexy shapely shoulders, biceps and triceps made Hollywood .

Back in reality, many men and women have personal grievances with their triceps in the summer months when sundresses, bathing suits and tank tops put them at center stage. For example, my mom came to me this past season asking how to get rid of her chicken wings? I laughed because I'd never heard the triceps referred to saggy poultry skin before, but this is a common female complaint.

If you're a female with this problem, I have good news for you. It's easy to tone your arms even if you're slightly overweight. For example, when I started working out to lose weight on my lower body, I noticed the first drastic changes in my upper body especially on my arms. My new shapely shoulders, biceps and triceps are probably what motivated me to keep going. If I was simply aiming to lose weight in my lower half particularly my glues and thighs I would have given up if not for some sign of improvement. The reason why women have such an easy time toning their upper bodies is because they tend to carry extra pounds on the midsections, butts, legs and hips. Their upper bodies tend to be able to carry as much cellulite so they lose it quicker there as a result.

Unfortunately we've learned that those who want something the most, usually have to work harder for it. This is true in the case of men and their upper bodies. When it comes to transforming their upper halves, men typically dream of adding mass. This is harder for men because they have it easy where women want to lose it in their lower bodies the glutes, hips, legs and thighs. For a man to add bulk to his upper body he must consume a diet with more calories than he expends. However, the trick is adding the right type of calories those high in muscle building proteins and low in empty sugars and starches.
