SCIFIT's parent company, Sinties was formed in 1987. The company had its roots in the home medical market and sold its product line of fitness and rehabilitation equipment to people with disabilities. In 1993 the company entered into the commercial fitness and rehabilitation markets. SCIFIT was formed in 1995, with a cardiovascular product line.
Today, SCIFIT makes home medical products, along with a commercial line of exercise bikes, treadmills, climbers, elliptical walkers, ergometers and fitness accessories. The company produces equipment around the world; however, some of its European products differ slightly from the North American versions. The warranty on SCIFIT's US products is 3-years on parts and 1-year on labor.
One of the company's most popular fitness products is the SCIFIT TC1000 climber. This machine has rubberized footplates to give you good traction. The climber's ergonomically designed handlebars are fully adjustable for your hand positioning. You can keep your hands at your side, straight out front or anywhere in between. The climber has a speed range of 5- to 220-feet-per-minute with a 14-foot climbing range. You can also monitor your heart rate and set a target heart rate during your workout with the climber's built-in computer panel. There are also 6 profile programs with over 20 levels of intensity in the climber. The TC1000 is ideal for exercising as well as physical therapy and sells for about $2,500.
