Kettler

Kettler has been making quality fitness equipment in Germany for over 50 years. The company, which was founded in 1949, manufacturers fitness products such as cross trainers, elliptical machines, exercise bikes, home gyms, rowing machines, treadmills, weight benches and steppers.

The company also makes toys, furniture, bicycles, and is particularly well known for its table tennis equipment. Kettler is well-known around the world. In 2001, Kettler USA celebrated its 20th year in the United States.

Although Kettler makes a wide variety of fitness equipment, they're likely most renowned for their racing exercise bikes. One of the most popular models is the Kettler Racer, an exercise bike ideal for home workouts. The bike has a built-in jumbo LCD training computer; which measures your time, speed, pedaling rate, distance covered, per session, total distance covered, calorie energy consumption, room temperature, heart rate, recovery pulse rate and automatic display change. The bike also has a magnetic brake system for high resistance, along with triathlon handlebars and racing saddle, which adjusts both vertically and horizontally for custom fit and comfort.

The Racer has a 287-pound user capacity and a lifetime frame warranty, along with a 3-year parts warranty. Most dealers will also offer an optional extended warranty which covers both parts and labor for the Racer. The bike sells for about $1,000 online.

You can purchase Kettler fitness equipment in participating stores or directly from the company's website.
