Fitness Equipment
If you are intent on getting into shape and staying in shape, there are numerous fitness equipment brands that will be more than happy to kick your butt. The only trouble is deciding which manufacturer to buy from.
Without favoring any one fitness brand, I've tried to give you an overview of the basics in the following fitness brand pages. For example, each specific page will feature an overview of each brand's product line, their top sellers, average price points and where you can buy their products. I'll leave the final decision up to you depending on your fitness goals, activity level, budget, personal preferences and so on.
Power-hitters in the fitness market include names like Bowflex, Kettler, Weider, NordicTrack, Keiser, ProForm, Cybex, Nautilus, Life Fitness, Powertec, HealthRider, Cateye Fitness, Landice, Star Trac, SCIFIT, Schwinn, Precor and Gold's Gym Equipment. However, you don't have to be a fitness fanatic or a pro bodybuilder to use their equipment. Each brand manufactures products for people of all fitness levels.
Most of these fitness brands have all areas of fitness covered with products like fitness DVDs, CD ROMs and videotapes, nutritional products and clothing apparel. Some of the most popular items sold by these fitness brands include exercise bikes, recumbent bikes, steppers, treadmills, stair climbers, rowing machines, home gyms, free weights, elliptical machines, strength machines and stretching machines, etc., along with various types of fitness accessories. Most of these items are ideal for fitness routines of all levels (depending on intensity and weight used) as well as for rehabilitation purposes.
The following fitness brands are world-wide companies that sell their products through retail stores as well as through their own websites. While some brands offer online technical support, owner's manuals, fitness programs and registration for an assortment of fitness products, not all sell their equipment online, so in some cases you will have to contact the manufacturer to request a catalogue or visit one of their participating stores for more details.
Most of these fitness brands have developed a reputation based on quality products and dependable customer service by offering warranties and return agreements on the majority of their fitness products. However, as I always say, it's best to research a product fully before purchasing one of your own. Fitness equipment is expensive, so request a catalogue, find out where the product is sold and visit the store to try it out yourself. Also, get a written guarantee so you will be able to return the equipment for a full refund if you're not fully satisfied. Your fitness, like your health, is your responsibility.
