Foods that keep you looking good

Have you ever heard the saying “you are what you eat”? Well, it’s especially true when it comes to naturally beautiful healthy-looking skin.

Check out this list of our top five beauty foods. They will enhance your natural beauty – from the inside out!

Top Five Beauty Foods

  • Almonds. Ladies, we all know that vitamin E is one of the top ingredients in anti-wrinkle creams. Well, that’s because vitamin E contains huge amounts fatty acids, which keep the skin looking plump and supple. A handful a day will keep the wrinkles away!
  • Protein. If you go to a manicurist every month for stunning nails, you can put away your pocketbook. Just eat foods that are high in protein – such as skinless chicken breast, lean turkey, tuna, lentils, chickpeas, egg whites, low-fat cottage cheese and beans.
  • Green veggies. You can put away the Pantene Pro V if you want shiny, healthy looking hair. Munch away on green veggies – such as bean sprouts, green beans, green pepper, zucchini (with the skin) and green onions – instead. They are rich in vitamin B – the very ingredient that is responsible for making your mane shiny and strong. So instead of staying home to wash your hair, you can stay home and have a salad.
  • Fatty fish. Eating salmon, albacore tuna, mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines and any fish that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, will moisturize dry skin. Kind of gives the phrase “fish face” a whole new meaning doesn’t it?
  • Water. I know you’ve heard it time and time again, but the number-one food for stunning skin is good old-fashioned water. Eight to ten glasses a day is ideal – more if you work out. Water will keep your face moisturized and blemish-free. It will also minimize your pores, keep your complexion healthy and radiant, and flush any toxins out of your skin.

Tip: After a decadent meal or night on the town, drink a large glass of water before hitting the hay. Water is your skin’s best friend.
